Monotype Imaging’s Fonts in a Box™ innovation enables the full display of characters with extended attributes including accent marks within constrained text regions. The technology opens typographic opportunity for OEMs, developers and content creators, allowing them to integrate stylistic, scalable fonts with the assurance that all characters will display without clipping or overlapping.
Often times, a user interface will require that each character fit predictably into a limited amount of space to be fully viewable. Characters that normally extend beyond the boundary are intelligently reshaped using Fonts in a Box technology to appear properly proportioned and positioned next to adjacent characters.
