ColorSet Profile Tool Kit
 Monotype Imaging’s ColorSet™ Profile Tool Kit is a suite of applications that give printer OEMs the power to create and quickly fine-tune color profiles, without jeopardizing product development schedules.
The Profile Tool Kit has proven to save time – as much as five months in some cases – when producing the multiple profiles that usually ship with your printer. The tools let you:
- Achieve pure CMY colors
- Establish smooth transitions between dark and light intensities of selected colors
- Maximize color gamut
- Set black generation
- Adjust white point
- Remove color jumps
- “Color match” to required usage modes
The tools allow OEMs to achieve acceptable color quality, faster. Without the tools, you risk meeting color quality requirements much later – after acceptance deadlines have passed. Opportunities to exceed color quality requirements increase dramatically when using Monotype Imaging tools.

Profile creation, edit and view – High–quality, custom device profiles can be generated and edited quickly.
Look–up table (LUT) generator – Flexible support for PostScript®, PCL® and GDI (inkjet) printers with LUT sizes down to 40k – from 500k or higher.
Pure color correction and spot color correction – Provides precise control to achieve pure C, M or Y. Users can easily smooth transitions between any two colors and dark to light intensities of any single color. Function is not limited to primary channels.
Black replacement – Fine control of black generation results in more flexible UCR editing.
LUT change – Provides accurate control over white point adjustment and smoothes color transitions in images within any color space – sRGB, CMYK, LAB, LCH, etc.
ICC compatible – Users save time with the ability to create, edit and optimize any ICC profile using a single profiling package.
Selective, global and gamut mapping – Users can quickly and easily modify profiles broadly to allow for changes in lightness, saturation and hue.
N–color support – Profiles are not limited to CMYK.
The ColorSet Profile Tool Kit also supports PostScript color rendering dictionaries.
